Every era of American prosperity has been built has been built upon the physical infrastructure other countries didn't have the nerve or capital to build first — the railroads, the interstate highway system, the power grid, and space stations and satellites. Data centers are that infrastructure for this era. They are the physical foundation for the next leap in American medicine, American schools, and American opportunity. The only question is whether we build the next frontier here, or watch another country build it first and control our access to it.
While other countries are forging ahead, here at home, the buildout we need is stalling. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, opponents blocked or delayed at least 75 U.S. data center projects worth roughly $130 billion, matching the total for the previous year in just three months. Every delay we face is a head start we hand to our competitors.
America is familiar with losing odds. We're also familiar with making a comeback. We've come together to win those races and we can do it again, if we choose to build.
